2007 Arrive Alive Scholarship Winners
The law offices of Carter Mario Injury Lawyers are pleased to announce four winners for the second annual "Arrive Alive" Scholarship competition. The following students each received a check in the amount of $1,000.00 to be used for their continuing education. The winners are Margaret Merritt of Southport, Melissa Mays of New Haven, Kristen Juskiewiez of Gales Ferry and Shawn Mando of Shelton. The scholarship competition was available to any graduating high school senior in Connecticut and applicants were required to submit an essay based on a question pertaining to the prevention of underage drinking and driving. The essay, along with other scholastic and personal information provided by the applicant, was used to pick the four winners. Margaret Merritt, a student at Fairfield Ludlowe High School will be attending Brown University, Melissa Mays of James Hillhouse High School will be attending Georgetown, Kristen Juskiewiez of Ledyard High School will be attending DePaul University and Shawn Mando of Shelton High School will be attending the Western Connecticut University.
